 There is no doubt that that the Dominican born Juan Luis Guerra has the best international recognition among Dominican artists. He began his long artistic career with his first album named “Mudanza y Acarreo”, which included hits like: “Elena”, “Santiago de Noche”, “Me Enamoro de Ella”, “Estrellitas y Duendes”, and “Palomita Blanca”. Juan Luis Guerra has become the maximum exponent of our music to date. Juan Luis Guerra is the only Dominican born artist to have won a Grammy. His Grammy award wining album is entitled “Bachata Rosa”. |

 With a long career playing merengue, Milly Quezada is the “Queen of Merengue”. It’s been more than 20 years since she began her career and to date she has that flavor that categorized her as the best female exponent of the merengue genre.
Her “Vive” CD sold more than 400,000 copies worldwide in just it’s first four months.
She has won the prestigious “El Casandra” award, the highest honor given to any artist in her native land of the Dominican Republic. |

 Toño Rosario began his artistic carrier with the famous group, “Los Hermanos Rosario”, back in the early ’80.
As they grew artistically, Toño decided to move to the neighboring island of Puerto Rico, where he wed Yvette Cintron and began his solo career.
As the years went by, and for reasons yet unknown, they divorced and he returned to his native land of “Higuey. Toño Rosario has become the most recognized merengue figure to date. Today he’s considered a superstar among present merengue exponents |
