The Statue of Liberty
The Statue of the Freedom arrived at
America in 1886, preceding a great wave
of immigration of the center and the south
of Europe. for the centenary in 1986, the
statue was polished, mended and equipped
with a new torch golden in gold of leaf of 24 carats. It is a difficult climb to the top. It is a 354 steps from the part of under the pedestal to the cover of the crown by means of circular stairs. The tails begin from early for the arranged ones to make the attempt. For information of the statue and the museums in the pedestal, it calls 212-363-3200 |

Empire State Building
One of the world's most famous landmarks, it measures more than
1,450 feet tall, with 102 floors. What's more, it was
built ahead of schedule, in one year and 45 days
including holidays -- during the Great Depression
. Having taken the impact of a B-25 bomber crashing
into its side in 1945, and giving only 1.48 inches to
either side in 110-mile-per- hour winds, it sure is sturdy.
The only thing the developers failed to do was turn it into
a viable site for mooring dirigibles.
The Empire State Building has been featured in too many movies to mention, but one standout is Sleepless in Seattle. Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan finally rendezvous here on Valentine's Day.

Broadway and the Theatre District
Probably no other street on earth has had more impact on the
performing arts than Broadway in New York City.
When any stage actor or playwright, singer or
composer thinks of hitting the big time, they imagine
their big Broadway premier. Originally, most of the
theaters in this area were actually located on
Broadway itself. The Theater District today, however,
includes the area between Broadway and Eighth
Avenue from 42nd to 50th Street. Broadway is more
than just an address, though. It's a state of mind that for decades has represented the highest achievement in American theatre. Both the area and the industry are enjoying an explosion right now that has left producers scrambling for empty theatres and patrons packing the sidewalks and local restaurants. Broadway is located in the heart of Manhattan, providing the city with one of its most important districts.
Between 42nd and 53rd Streets and 6th and 10th Aves.
