Rudy Santana began his professional career with the musical group “Sensacion” in Miches, Dominican Republic. This musical group served as the platform for himself as well as for Dimanchy, where they shared many years together. After working for several other groups, today Rudy Santana has his own musical band, with hits like “Nuestro Inmenso Amor” and “Me da Pena”. Rudy Santana has his place among the current Merengüe bands in New York City.

The King of Mambo was originally named Ernest Anthony Puente, Jr. He was born in “El Barrio” (Spanish Harlem) in the city of New York on April 20, 1923. He had a long and stellar career in the music world, playing music up until his death at the age of 77, on May 31st 2000.
Tito Puente was a man of multiple achievements and talents and at the same time, a very focused man when it came to his great passion: the Timbals and Percussion. He combined this talent with showmanship and became a world famous bandleader. His legacy was recorded on over 100 albums and among those, more than 400 compositions. He had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, 5 Grammy awards, and countless other honors. |
